Car Boot Sale

This year will be our fifth car boot sale on the car park of the local high school. Its always an early start but brings in over a £1000

Coffee and…..

We try at least once a month during the church open days to put on a coffee and something sale in the Bluecoat School. We've had coffee and shoes, coffee and plants, coffee and brick a brack and coffee and produce sales.

They generally raise £200 to £300

Quiz Night

Once a year we have the ever popular Quiz Night held in the Scout Headquarters,

 

Promise Auction

Once again the Promise Auction was held at the Rectory. For those who don't know, people are asked to donate 'lots', these can be anything from 1hours ironing, Chinese meal for four, a trip up the tower, or even an all expenses trip to the theatre.

 

These items are then auctioned off and the highest bidder wins. It was once again a very exciting evening raising a magnificent sum of £1435

BIG BALLOON RACE

Saturday 12th September 2009 at 2pm in Market Place was the venue, date and time of the release of 636 multi coloured balloons. It was fantastic and fortunately, so was the weather. Thank you to everyone who bought a balloon. The furthest balloon card returned so far is from  South Wales

As part of the 7th annual Leigh and Wigan Words Together Literary Festival.

Wigan Parish Church was proud to present.
